The Faculty of Education invites applications for the position of Full/Associate Professor in Mathematics Education.
The Faculty of Education offers Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. programmes in various areas of education. Details about the Faculty of Education are available at https://fed.um.edu.mo/. Qualifications
Applicants should have: (1) a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics Education or a closely related field; (2) a well-defined research agenda in mathematics education with a proven track record of high-quality research, demonstrated by publications in top SSCI/SCI indexed mathematics education and related journals; (3) an established international reputation for excellence in mathematics education research as well as a strong national and international collaborative research profile in this field; (4) demonstrated ability to teach mathematics education courses within undergraduate and/or graduate programs, as well as contribute to program development and enhancement. Proven quality experience in supervising master’s and doctoral students is essential.
Good knowledge of education systems of Macao and Greater China regions will be a plus.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2025.
Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
