The Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) is comprised of the departments of Communication, Economics, Government and Public Administration, Psychology, and Sociology. More information about the Faculty is available at the website: http://fss.um.edu.mo/.

FSS is currently seeking research personnel in the following areas of Social Sciences: Economics, Government and Public Administration, Political Science, Studies related to Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), Governance issues in Hong Kong and Macau, and Psychology.

Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.

Qualifications

• Visiting Fellow:
  Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in relevant areas, along with a strong research publication record and notable achievements.
• Research Assistant Professor (RAP):
  Candidates must have a doctoral degree in relevant areas, with a proven track record of research publications and achievements. Post-doctoral research experience is highly desirable.
• Postdoctoral Fellow:
  Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in relevant areas, with a substantial record of publications and relevant experience.
• Research Assistant:
  Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or above in relevant areas, with relevant research experience.

Remuneration

Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
