The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is currently looking to fill the following vacancyin the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA):

Social Worker (Ref. No.: USJ25OSAA-003)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Provide counselling and mentoring services to University students;

2. Conduct crisis intervention and referrals, and organise multiparty meetings when necessary;

3. Plan and implement mental health education activities/programmes, including the residents of the University dormitory;

4. Provide advice and resources on counselling and mental health enrichment;

5. Assist in organising campus activities for students and provide coaching to student ambassadors to organise campus activities;

6. Report to the Head of Office and perform operational and professional assignments, mainly in counselling and promoting students’ mental health;

7. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Head of Office;

8. Work outside office hours if necessary.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work;

2. At least 3 years of work experience in counselling or social work areas;

3. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in the field of social work or counselling;

4. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

5. Fluent in Putonghua is an advantage;

6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as an interest in student development;

7. Able to work in a multicultural environment;

8. Macao ID holder.
