IAPME invites applications for the position of Research Assistant Professor under the Macao Centre for Research and Development in Advanced Materials to conduct research in advanced materials and related interdisciplinary areas, coordinate and oversee the implementation of Centre projects, monitor project progress and deliverables, facilitate collaboration among researchers, industry partners and other stakeholders, support Centre members in technology transfer, intellectual property commercialization, and assist Centre leadership in strategic planning and innovation initiatives.

Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement and funding availability.

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in relevant areas, with a proven track record of research publications and achievements. Post-doctoral and industrial R&D experience is highly desirable;
• Proven experience in project management, research coordination, and industry collaboration;
• Strong understanding of R&D processes and technology transfer;
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and contribute to collaborative projects;
• Responsible, well-organized, motivated and initiative personality;
• Good command of English and Chinese;
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in as soon as possible.
 

Remuneration

Remuneration offered will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
