The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is currently looking to fill the following vacancy in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH):

Lecturer (Ref. No.: FAH-L78)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Perform academic duties, including but not limited to teaching General Portuguese Language modules and Portuguese modules at the Bachelor of Portuguese-Chinese Translation Studies;

2. Work on R&D projects via design and submission of research proposals in the field of expertise to DSEDJ and the Macao Foundation;

3. Work with the Department of Languages and Culture on the development of Pedagogical and Scientific Activities;

4. Work on the development of Programme Revision for Quality Assurance and Enhancement;

5. Assist in research and collaboration with international partnerships.

Requirements:

1. Master’s or Post-Graduation Degree in fields related to Modern Languages, specialization in Portuguese;

2. Experience in teaching Portuguese as a non-native language PLE/PL2 (from A1 to B2 levels);

3. At least 10 years of Portuguese language teaching experience, with pedagogical experience in Portugal is preferable;

4. Experience in Portuguese cooperation with the Ministries of Education in Portuguesespeaking countries;

5. Experience in Leading Pedagogical Councils;

6. Proficient in Portuguese and English;

7. Good track record of project development;

8. Macao ID holder is preferable. Salary and benefits will be commensurable with the qualifications and experience of candidates.
